A talk organised by Manchester CSC

Speakers Steve Ludlam, Senior politics lecturer, Sheffield University and Cuba Solidarity Campaign Executive

Caroline Bellamy, GMB member and guest of the CTC (Cuban trades union federation) at May Day 2015 march in Havana

A new chapter has opened in the defence of Cuba’s sovereignty and its socialist revolution, with the opening of negotiations with the USA and the freeing of the Cuban Five.

What threats and challenges lie ahead? What difference will it make to daily life? Has the blockade been lifted? Is this the end of US hostility? What now for the solidarity movement?
