Emma Thompson lends support to Cuban Art Show

Campaign News | Monday, 1 February 2016

British Oscar-winning actor Emma Thompson is the latest personality to give her support to the ¡PRESENTE! Cuban art project and appeal to bring Adislén Reyes to London for the show this Autumn.

“I’m very pleased to support the forthcoming exhibition, ¡Presente!, a unique opportunity for UK audiences to enjoy the best that the rapidly changing Cuban art scene has to offer”, she said.

Emma Thompson is supporting the exhibition of contemporary art from Cuba which will run from 6-29 October 2016 at London’s GX Gallery. ¡PRESENTE! will give 25 Cuban artists a rare opportunity to display their work in the UK, and profits from artwork sales will fund materials for Cuba’s art schools.

Emma joins British actors Peter Capaldi, Frances de la Tour and Maxine Peake to give support to the project.

Please support the appeal to bring young rising star of Cuban art, Adislén Reyes, to Britain for the show and to participate in an associated programme of events.

Deadline 20 March 2016.
