Support for victims of the Hotel Saratoga explosion

The Cuba Solidarity Campaign has launched an appeal to help support the victims of the suspected gas explosion which took place at the Hotel Saratoga in Havana on Friday 6 May 2022 killing at least 46 people.

The explosion destroyed much of the front of the landmark Havana hotel as well as damaging several buildings in the vicinity, including a school and residential buildings which were evacuated. Although the hotel had been closed for renovations, it was due to open in a few days and staff were working in the building at the time of the accident.

CSC sends our deepest condolences, love, strength and solidarity to the Cuban people who are in mourning at this time, and especially to the friends and families of the victims, injured, and missing, and to the rescue and health workers searching and treating survivors.

All donations made will go directly towards buying medicines and equipment needed to treat and support the needs of the injured, the families of the victims, and emergency services.
