NEU/NUT delegation to Cuba school visit

Sunday, 17 February 2019, 2:00pm

Come along for some food/music/speakers and a raffle!

Time- 2pm to 5pm on Sunday 17 February 2019

Venue- El Cuba Libre, The Sportsmans Pub, 57 Mottram Road, Hyde, SK14 2NN (price includes a selection of tapas & the restaurant can also cater for vegetarians/vegans). Pub bar available for beverage purchases.

This event is in aid of the Play for Cuba campaign. Music is an integral part of the curriculum in Cuba but because of the blockade instruments are very expensive and difficult to source.

Please bring along any used, unwanted second hand instruments or accessories if you have any! This is a fantastic restaurant run by Cubans (not a chain).

In addition to delicious Cuban food, we will hear from:

Paula Barker, Unison North West Convenor

Carole Regan, Past President National Union of Teachers / CSC Executive

Leigh Drennan, Unite and Young Labour Activist

This event is a social arranged to raise funds for the Play for Cuba appeal. Please donate and old/new musical equipment for Cuban children at this event.

Tickets for this event are £10 unwaged, £15 standard and £20 solidarity (all proceeds will be donated to Play for Cuba musical instrument appeal) and include tapas food.

Please email us at cscmanchester@gmail.com to book your ticket.
