Panel Discussion covering the book: Beyond the blockade: Education in Cuba

An essential book produced by UK teachers about the inspiration that Cuba’s comprehensive education system is for the world.

"This book is the product of four years of solidarity delegations, based on a long-term collaboration with our sister union SNTECD in Cuba. These delegations permit an in depth understanding of another education system. Educators give up their half-term break to spend a week of intense activity visiting schools, universities and trade union groups, and reflecting upon what they have seen" (Kevin Courtney, NEU Joint General Secretary)

Guest Speakers:

Malcolm Richards (Book Co-editor and Contributor)

Sam Makinde (Book Contributor and TUC LESE International Affairs Committee)

Bernard Regan (Book Contributor., NEU and Secretary, Cuba Solidarity Campaign)

Meeting chaired by Bob Archer, LESE International Affairs Committee Chair
