Screen Cuba celebrates Cuban cinema, looking at achievements and challenges of the Cuban people through the lenses of their filmmakers since the 1959 revolution, and presenting films rarely screened in the UK.

We bring you inspiring shorts, ground-breaking features, documentaries, and discussions with Cuban film specialists. Including ‘60s dark comedy of Death of a Bureaucrat, ‘70s One Way or Another by Cuba’s first woman director, ‘90s Strawberry & Chocolate that challenged homophobia with style, to UK premiere of young filmmakers’ recent Tales of one more day and much more.

Screenings at the Garden Cinema, 39-41 Parker Street, London WC2B 5PQ
