Cuba Solidarity Campaign Annual General Meeting 2024

The 2024 Cuba Solidarity Campaign Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 22 June from 10am-4pm at the NEU headquarters, Mabledon Place, London.

Alongside the ambassador, our special guest speaker from Cuba is Rigoberto Zarza Ross, ICAP European director.

After lunch from 2pm, the day will continue with film screenings and a panel on Cuban Internationalism, Young Workers and Solidarity with Palestine with guest speakers:~
Micaela Tracey-Ramos: UNISON NEC, Brigade delegate in 2022
Nazifa Zaman: Unite WM Young Members’ Committee, Brigade delegate 2023
Freddie Seale: Vice-chair of RMT Young Members, Brigade delegate 2024
Sorcha Thompson: PSC Youth and Student Committee, researcher in history of solidarity between Cuba and Palestine, and chair Ollie Hopkins, CSC Executive.

The AGM will provide a review of the last year of campaigning work and an update on the Cuba Vive medical aid appeal. Motions on Cuba Vive, Solidarity with Palestine and Screen Cuba will be discussed and voted on to agree future Campaign priorities.

The AGM, screenings and panel are open to all, but only CSC members and affiliates are able to propose and vote on motions, and to elect the 34 members of the National Executive Committee which takes place in the first half of the meeting between 10am-1pm.
