The re-election of Donald Trump signals a dangerous time for Cuba. The US blockade, now well into its seventh decade, is being tightened to unprecedented levels and the island is experiencing its worst economic crisis in decades with shortages in all areas of life.

The Cuba Vive appeal, with the support of UNISON regions and branches, has raised over £180,000 to send life-saving medical aid to Cuba to tackle these shortages. Come along to hear how this money is being spent, first hand reports from the Cuban ambassador and UNISON Young Members who volunteered in Cuba in May, and practical measures you can take to demonstrate your solidarity.
