This is a chance to find out about and discuss what is happening in Latin America.

Why has the US blockade of Cuba not yet been lifted? What is happening in Venezuela after the defeat of Hugo Chavez’s PSUV party? Other workshops will consider the struggles of women in Central America, environmental destruction and climate change, Mexico drug wars and state repression.

Admission £8 / £5 (concession) includes lunch.

Workshops: Cuba's political victory, new challenges. Latin America, ALBA and the global crisis. Mexico, drug wars and state repression. Extractive industries and political repression in the Andes. Women's rights in Central & Latin America. Eyewitness from Colombia. Venezuela - revolution in peril.

Speakers from Cuba Solidarity, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua Solidarity, Central America Women's Network, Colombia Solidarity and Venezuela Solidarity. (Subject to final confirmation).

9.30am Registration. Event runs 10am – 4pm
