Latin America was declared a ‘Zone of Peace’ by 33 countries in the region, but now U.S. President Trump has set fire to the continent through military aggression, economic warfare and threats of ‘regime change’. Members of Cuba’s Electric Trade Union are working 24 hours a day to keep the lights on under Trump’s fuel blockade of the island, while Colombia’s union-backed President has faced down Trump’s threats and increased workers’ minimum wage by 23%.
Hear the latest and how GMB members can show solidarity with Cuba, campaign groups and GMB’s Vice-President reporting back from observing the Colombian Presidential Elections.
