CSC Derby: 19th Curry for Cuba fundraising dinner

Money raised will go to the Cuba Vive Medical Aid Appeal .

The illegal oil blockade of Cuba by the USA is making life extremely difficult in Cuba. Without oil, there are regular blackouts. Shortages of essential items such as syringes and medicines affect healthcare. Unfortunately, child mortality is now increasing. Despite this Cuba still has some of the best child health indicators in Latin America. Cuba has a proud record of international solidarity – sending doctors to many parts of the world. Health care is free for everyone in Cuba.

Venue: Shalimar Gold Restaurant,15 Midland Road, Derby, DE1 2SN

Food: Poppadums and pickles followed by a variety of Indian dishes including vegan and vegetarian dishes

Cost: £35 per head, of which £15 will go to the Medical Aid Appeal for Cuba

Places must be booked in advance as space is limited
