Hear directly from members of Cuba’s National Assembly at this special parliamentary meeting organised by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign.
At a critical time for Cuba, this meeting offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from Cuban parliamentarians about the realities facing their country, the impact of ten months living under the US oil blockade and increase sanctions, and Cuba’s determination to defend its sovereignty and right to determine its own future.
The MPs will also discuss the role of international solidarity, relations between the British and Cuban parliaments, and what parliamentarians in Britain can do to strengthen ties with Cuba and oppose measures which are having a devastating impact on the Cuban people.
Speakers
Dr Enrique Alemán Gutiérrez, President of the Cuba–UK Parliamentary Friendship Group
Marta Hernández Romero MP
Carlos Rafael Fuentes León MP
Jesús Rafael Mora González, International Relations Director, Cuban National Assembly
Steve Witherden MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)
