Argentinan President on official visit to Cuba

Cuban President Raul Castro today headed the official welcoming ceremony for Argentina’s President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who is paying an official visit to Cuba.
Present at the ceremony were the delegation accompanying the Argentinean President, which includes Foreign Minister Jorte Taiana, Federal Planning Minister Julio D Vilo, Science and Technology Minister Lino Barañao, Education Minister Juan Carlos Tudesco, Employment and Social Security Minister Carlos Alfonso Tomada and Health Minister Graciela Ocaña.
On the Cuban side, participants included Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon, and the Vice-president of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas, among other government officials.
Following the ceremony, both presidents held official talks.
The Argentinean head of state paid honor on to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti at the Revolution Square.
Today, Cristina Fernandez will meet with Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon and she will also give a key lecture at the University of Havana. She will also visit the Havana-based Latin American School of Medicine.
