Still time to book tickets - new act for Sunday announced
A feast of the hottest Cuban music and dance live and direct from Cuba at the Barbican on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June.
Featuring nueva trova legend PABLO MILANÉS,
dazzling rumba group YORUBA ANDABO, plus the soulful Son del Tropico and pianist Harold Lopez Nussa in two amazing concerts, with salsa star OSCAR d'LEON replacing Los Van Van; with Changüí de Guantánamo and many more on the free stage plus dance workshops all weekend. Catch hip hop star Kumar late on Saturday.
The two special concerts feature Cuba's nueva trova star Pablo Milanés, top rumba group Yoruba Andabo, the soulful Son Tropical and fabulous jazz pianist Harold Lopez Nussa.
Due to illness of their Musical Director Los Van Van have unfortunately had to cancel their tour dates in Europe.
However we are delighted to announce that Venezuelan salsa legend Oscar d'Leon has at the last minute, agreed to step in to perform.
In their place, Oscar will be performing his ‘Canta La Musica Cubana' repertoire for this special Cuba 50 celebration, plus other hits with his full band.
