White House petition for negotiations and prisoner swap with Miami Five
Campaign News | Monday, 17 December 2012
An online petition on the White House website could impact on the Miami Five campaign if it receives enough signatures. The petition calls on the US government to "Open an honest dialogue with the Cuba government to secure the release of American operative Alan Gross. Include potential prisoner exchanges, admissions of wrong doing, drop of the embargo as incentives to bring this man home. His employer owes it to him."
If the petition reaches 25,000 signatures by 30 December White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.
