Rene Gonzalez, the first of the Miami Five to have been released from a US jail since being imprisoned in 1998 for monitoring the actions of anti-Cuban terrorist groups has opened his account on Twitter.
In an attempt to continue the campaign for freedom for his four comrades, he will be tweeting under the name @ReneCuban5
One of his first messages was "Fernando González, Hero of #Cuba, will leave prison on February 27. We must remain alert to ensure his
prompt return to Cuba."
