CSC Director Rob Miller addressed the national conference of ASLEF, the train drivers' union, in Bournemouth on 18 May. He discussed the latest developments on the situation in Cuba, the ongoing US blockade, and the relationship with the United States. He thanked ASLEF members for their long standing support for the people of Cuba.

In replying ASLEF General Secretary, Mick Whelan, spoke of CSC’s commitment in raising the profile of the campaign for solidarity with Cuba across Britain and ended his speech with a call for ASLEF branch and District affiliations to CSC stating that “the US Blockade will never stop our solidarity”.

The conference agreed to make a £1,000 donation towards the work of CSC.
