Committees in Defense of the Cuban Revolution announce Congress

After being postponed twice due to extreme weather conditions, the Seventh Congress of the Committees in Defense of the Revolution (CDRs) will take place on December 13-14 at Havana’s Convention Center.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Juan Jose Rabilero, national coordinator of the CDRs, who added that 1,000 delegates and 200 guests will participate in the event.
Rabilero said that one of the main topics of discussion during the congress will be the role of CDR members in the recovery process currently underway nationwide after the recent passage of hurricanes Gustav, Ike and Paloma.
