Gerardo Hernandez praises Danny Glovers solidarity
News from Cuba | Wednesday, 11 August 2010
Cuban antiterrorist fighter Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo praised U.S. actor Danny Glover's gestures of solidarity toward him and his four comrades, unfairly imprisoned in the United States since September 1998.
Glover, who visited the federal prison of Victorville, in California on Sunday, has made notable contributions to telling the truth about the case of the Cuban Five, as Gerardo, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and René Gonzalez are universally known.
Glover made video recordings using his own voice of letters between Hernandez Nordelo and his wife Adriana Perez, which could be viewed on one of the Internet's most popular websites, Granma newspaper reported on Tuesday.
As well as the sentence of double life imprisonment plus 15 years given to Gerardo after a rigged trial, the U.S. government has repeatedly denied an entry visa to his wife, Adriana, to be able to visit her husband in prison.
