Tony Woodley will speak with mothers of the Five at Latin America conference workshop

Tony Woodley, former general secretary of Unite the Union, will speak at a special workshop on the Campaign for Justice for the Miami Five at this year's Latin America 2011 conference at the TUC on Saturday 3 December.
He will be joined by Mirta Rodriguez, Irma Sehwerert, and Magali Llort, mothers of three of the Five and Steve Cottingham, UK lawyer and campaigner for their freedom.
The mothers will bring an update from the men and their families, and Irma Sehwerert will report on her recent visit to Rene Gonzalez, who has just been released from jail, but must remain in the US for a further 3 years.
An exclusive, and previosuly unseen interview with Rene following his release will also be shown at the workshop which starts at 10am in the first conference session.
Other speakers at the Latin America conference include Alberto Juantoreno, Cuban olympic gold medal winner and vice minister for Sport, plus other speakers from Latin America.
