This years Cuba Solidarity Campaign Annual General Meeting is a fabulous opportunity for people to find out all the latest developments in Cuba and within the solidarity movement.
The AGM is free and open to all. SATURDAY 16 JUNE 2012, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, LONDON WC1 (Kings Cross/Euston tube), 10am-4pm
A top line up of guest speakers will explore the ongoing threats from the US Blockade and the campaign for justice for the Miami Five.
We are honoured this year to have as our very special guests the four wives of the Miami Five. Rosa Aurora Freijanes, Olga Salanueva, Adriana Perez and Elizabeth Palmeiro, are in the UK for the first time together.
The second part of the meeting from 2pm is an open panel discussion on ‘Cuba and the economic changes’ with experts and academics led by Dr Steve Ludlam, Senior Lecturer in Politics at Sheffield University.
There will also be the premiere of a new short film by Cuban Director Roberto Chile, looking at the restoration and gala opening of the Teatro Miramar in Havana made possible by the UK Charity the Music Fund for Cuba.
The CSC AGM will be followed by a celebratory Awards Dinner with families of Miami Five and special guests, from 7pm til late at the EV Turkish Restaurant, The Arches, 97-99 Isabella Street, London SE1 (Southwark tube).
Three course meal, with wine, cocktail, live entertainment and awards. (£40 tickets). There are only a few tickets remaining for this dinner and all tickets MUST be purchased in advance.
