Salim is an academic, journalist and specialist in Cuba-US relations. His talk will examine everything you need to know about U.S. economic sanctions against Cuba: their origins, their provisions, how they contravene international law, and how they affect the lives of Cubans.

Salim Lamrani, who teaches at the University of Paris-Sorbonne Paris IV and the University of la Réunion, will examine the U.S. government’s official docum...ents to expose what is hiding in plain sight: an indefensible, vicious, and wasteful blockade that has been roundly condemned by citizens around the world.

He will also be signing copies of his new book ‘The Economic War Against Cuba’, which is described by Wayne S. Smith, diplomat and former head of the US Interests Section in Cuba as: "An excellent summary of the American economic sanctions against Cuba, the manner in which they have been imposed for more than a half century and the harm they cause the Cuban people."

All meetings are open to all.

FREE ENTRY - ALL WELCOME!
