Campaign News | Thursday, 14 May 2026

A message from Liz Ribalta

Speaking tour, Sat 13 June - Sun 21 June 2026

Cuba is facing one of the most dangerous moments in recent decades.

As the United States escalates its economic warfare, sanctions and threats against the island, the need for international solidarity has never been more urgent.

This June, the Cuba Solidarity Campaign is proud to welcome Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera from ICAP (the Cuban Friendship Institute) for a vital national speaking tour includingg the CSC AGM.

These meetings are an important opportunity to hear directly from Cuba about the reality of the crisis – beyond the propaganda and misinformation used to justify US aggression.

🇨🇺 Hear first-hand about the impact of the blockade and escalating US threats
âš¡ Understand the growing humanitarian and political crisis facing Cuba
📢 Discuss what solidarity means at this dangerous moment
✊ Find out what action we can take in Britain to defend Cuba’s sovereignty and oppose intervention

Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera has worked for years building international solidarity with Cuba, including coordinating solidarity delegations and humanitarian projects with organisations around the world.

At a time when the US is attempting to isolate and destabilise Cuba, it is vitally important that people hear the truth and organise in solidarity.
